How this guide makes money

What To Do In Malta earns commission when readers book tours, tickets and travel services through some of the links on this site. If you follow one of those links and book something, the partner pays us a small share of what they earn.

It never costs you more. You pay the same price you would pay going to the partner directly. The commission comes out of the partner's margin, not out of your pocket.

Who the partners are

Established booking platforms for tours, tickets and travel services. Each is an independent company; we are an affiliate, not an agent, and we do not act on their behalf. Every booking link on this site names the platform it goes to at the point you click it, so you always know who you are buying from before you leave.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for any tour operator, booking platform or tourism board. Any partner names used on this site are their trademarks and are used only to say who a link goes to.

How links are marked

• Every page that carries an affiliate link shows a short, plain-language disclosure above the first link, in normal body text, at normal size, not shrunk into a footer.
• Affiliate links are technically marked as sponsored links, as search engines require.
• Where a page recommends something we earn nothing from (a free viewpoint, a public bus, a beach you can walk to), it says so just as plainly.

What commission does not buy

This is the part that matters, so it is stated without hedging:

• Recommendations are not for sale. No operator can pay to be featured, ranked higher, or reviewed favourably here.
• Commission rates do not decide what we recommend. Where two partners sell the same trip, we link to the one we think readers are better served by, not the one paying more.
• Criticism is not withheld. If a well-known attraction is overpriced, overcrowded or not worth the trip, the guide says so, including when it is bookable through a partner we earn from.
• No fake reviews or ratings. This site does not and will not publish invented reviews, star ratings, testimonials or visitor numbers.

Cookies

Affiliate tracking works by setting a cookie in your browser when you click a partner link, so any booking you make afterwards is credited to this site. That is a non-essential cookie, and it will not be set unless you have opted in. See the cookie policy for the detail.

Why we tell you this

Because you are entitled to know when the person recommending something stands to gain from it. Disclosure is required by consumer-protection rules in the EU, the UK and the US, and by the terms of every affiliate programme worth joining. It is also the only way a guide like this deserves to be believed.
